some days deserve more than staged photos

A wedding isn't just an event to document. It's sacred — and it deserves to be captured with the same reverence you feel saying "I do," not treated like content to check off a list.

My philosophy

A Glimpse of eternity

"I do". The closest glimpse we get, here on earth, of the union between Christ and His Bride.

A moment like that deserves more than a photographer going through the motions. It deserves to be captured with the same care and honor you feel in that moment — which is exactly why I approach every wedding as a sacred story, not just an event.

A sacred story I take great delight and honor in capturing.

i get it.

and i've spent my life learning to preserve what matters.

I'm Alexandra — growing up, my mom's Nikon was always close by. Looking back at those photos now, I feel that bittersweet pang: faces of people who've since passed, moments that could never be recreated. I know firsthand what it means to hold onto something irreplaceable.

In 2020, my life changed when I gave it to Jesus — and with it, my love for people and their stories grew. Now I get to spend my time capturing other people's most sacred moments, documentary-style: authentic, intimate, unscripted.

"Lex made us feel very comfortable which led to natural, sweet photos. My sisters even said they've never had so much fun taking wedding pics before. Her edits fit our whimsical woodsy theme so well!"

Amber

"Alexandra managed to encapsulate the joy and emotion of my daughter's wedding day effortlessly, making every photo a work of art."

“Alexandra is a lifesaver & was such a pleasure to work with on our special day! She jumped in with a positive attitude & didn't miss a moment of our last-minute elopement at Garden of the Gods. The results were stunning. I  highly recommend her skills & enthusiastic & creative spirit.”

Alexandra recently sat down with Bold Journey to talk about leaving a full-time job to pursue wedding photography, and how her faith shapes the way she shows up for every couple. In the piece, she reflects on viewing a wedding as the closest earthly glimpse of the union between Christ and His people.
